Narrative
Thomas Proctor House was born in Bath, Kentucky on April 27, 1816 to Joseph Proctor House and Dorcas Davis. As a young adult he moved westward and on January 28, 1840 he married Nancy Jane Weidner in Lewis County, Missouri. It was there that he set up his family. Their first child, Ralph Smith House, was born in the town of Monticello in Lewis Count at the end of 1840. Their second was born in Clark County and the third back in Lewis County, in the town of Deer Ridge. Thomas died shortly after the war on August 31, 1867 in Reddish, Lewis County.
